Woman killed in fire

An early Thursday morning house fire in Leavenworth claimed a woman's life, Fire Department officials said.

Leavenworth Fire Chief Mark DeMaranville did not release information about the woman Thursday because he did not know if all family members had been notified of her death.

The fire was reported at 2:10 a.m. Thursday at 1204 Delaware St., according to fire Capt. Shawn Kell.

There were three people in the single-story house at the time of the fire.
