LODD Response Team info
Date: Tuesday, March 25, 2008
Good Day!
Those of you who already have indicated that they will be willing to serve on
the Kansas Fire Service Line of Duty Death Response Team, we thank you from the
bottom of our hearts! This team will be a great asset to our state and our great
fire service.
The first day of training is fast approaching and if anybody is interested in
attending this training please contact me ASAP. The training will be on April
19th in Girard, Kansas. The class is called Taking Care of Our Own, and it is
put on by the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation. This class will be one
day in length and will consist of what to do in your own department in the event
of a LODD.
The second day of training will be more intense team training put on by the
trustees of the KSFFA. We are looking at a date in July to do this training, and
most likely in Salina Kansas...more centered in the state.
If you are interested in becoming a member of the team or wish to be a member of
the team, and want to attend this training please contact me at
cfdcapt4@yahoo.com and make sure
that in the subject line you place " LODD Team " so if it goes to my spam I will
still catch it. I am working on getting a registration form on pdf format so I
can e-mail it to everybody who wants one.
The class is free of charge, and even if you do not want to be part of the team,
it is a great opportunity for some needed training in our state!
Thanks!
